Sounds like the old HD brand name rip-off. I like Froggy's battery but wonder about that fan issue. Probably best to go generic and save a little coin. Its not like you need 0 degree cold cranking amps. |

I haven't had any issue with the fan running it down yet. Time will tell, but so far its out performed the stock battery in every situation. Ask Etennuly how he likes his Walmart battery... |

Like I said I love the weight savings, its like adding a performance mod when you shave off 11 lbs. If I am going to pony up the cash for the HD battery I would rather go with the speedcell. Besides, when it dies I can always eat it. |

I haven't had a Harley battery die in less then 5 years. I run them in my Buells. I haven't had a WalMart battery make it a year... I run them in my KLR-250. One of them didn't just stop charging, it cracked and leaked onto the bike. The speedcell batteries are cool, but I don't understand how they are regulating the charging voltage to keep from burning them up. |

$120.00, $160.00, $180.00 WTF ? Are these prices for a new battery installed by the dealer ? I hope so. On a related note...I got a new battery from my dealer even though they couldn't test the one I brought them and said was junk. Yesterdeay I was at the dealer again to order more parts and the service manager (?) showed me the print out from the special Harley battery tester. Zero cold cranking amps ! They all thought I was a dummy as the battery I brought them went green after only a few minutes on the charger. I hate to say it but...I told you so. |
