I have a leak that is driving me nuts. I had to drop my motor for repair (long story) I put it all back together and I have a line leaking. the line goes to the cooler, it is screwed in at the front of the motor right above the oil filter. so I figured I screwed up the ferall end so I bought another line and put it on and it leaks, So I think I need the block that it screws into, but I have no Buell dealer near me so I was wondering if I can get this fiiting anywhere else. I can't tighten it up anymore, and it's driving me nuts. |

I would stay away from teflon tape on the oil lines. If stray pieces get into the oil system they could plug something you don't want plugged. Try thread sealer from a tube. |

That is a very tough fitting to get right. I've found that I need to install the oil cooler side of the lines first, then tighten them before tightening the other end of the lines. Don't know why, but it has helped me. I've also had to tighten them far more than I'm comfortable with to get them to seal, but haven't stripped one yet..... |
