It was built by Joesbuell. What a bike! I followed the building of that one. Here's one from Frank in Germany. Check this baby out. Lots and lots of hand work into this beauty. Lots of attention to detail.
Look at those wheels, that tank, that everything! |

So, Did this bike ever make it to EBAY to see what people might actually pay for it? |

Roland Sands "Bue-hell" in the new 2 wheel tuner mag is what I expect to see when someone says they have built a custom bike. Its the diff between bolt on custom that might win a show or two and flat out freaking impressive skills. I also think it warrants whatever number he asks for it unlike this bike. no, my bike won't go on ebay. if you read my thread, I said that it was just to have an idea in case in the future I decide to sell it. ebay is full of s h i t right now, if somebody offered me 8G for my 1098 S, I won't even waste my time to put my Ghost on sale there. end of this conversation, I think we said enough. I will go buy 2 wheel tuner and check this Buell out, Sands is my favorite builder, he sure has done something unique! |

The Italian Job, Man I really do feel your pain. I've got a heavily modified V-Rod right now that probably has 20K+ tied into it and it has low mileage, is garage kept, and has never been down. Now I will probably be lucky to get 14k for it even though I want at least 15k, but I wouldn't begrudge anyone for abstractly telling me that it's worth 12k or 13k. The used bike market sucks in the same way that the used boat, RV, and ATV markets suck. No matter how nice the product, the market still judges these things as toys. Personally, I don't understand why the motorcycle isn't seen as a form of transport but that's my personal opinion. |

Rightpecial, I think you would feel offended if someone offers you or tell you that your bike worths 7-8000 dollars. that's how I felt and won't hide myself. I saw the Bue-Hell on the magazine, I love Roland Sands, he's my favorite builder, but you gotta tell me what do you see of a Buell on that bike, beside the engine! that's a wonderful custom bike (very S1 inspired, IMO), with a Buell engine. but I wouldn't define that bike, a customized Buell. but again, this is my personal opinion... |

To me it's not so much the bike as the amazing vision of folks like Frank (who I've met and is an amazing person) and Edoardo. I'm not looking to buy the bike but, as a person devoid of any creativity, I really enjoy the art and talent. |

Edoardo, I think you hit the nail on the head with your take on the Roland Sands bike. People will pay top dollar for a Custom Bike. However, they won't usually pay top-dollar for a "customized" bike, especially a used one. |

Curtis, maybe my english is not good enough to explain what I want to. let me try again: the bike is unbelievable, I've always been the number 1 fan of Sands (good enough to let you understand what I think of him???) and the bike it's amazing! i'd pay top dollars for that bike!!! but, it's about definition: that is not a customized Buell, but a custom bike with a Buell engine, a big difference! not comparing that bike with mine, I'd never do it, I'm just saying that, that's not a custom Buell. an engine is not enought to give a bike a category. I've seen a lot of chopped Buells, but I don't consider those still Buells. this is what I wanted to say, I hope I've been clear this time. I ran to buy the mag when I heard that RS had done a Buell himself, this is to let you understand how I'd love to have a RSD creation in my garage, he is a visionary genius for me, but that is definitely not a Buell! |

The_italian_job Posted on Friday, April 24, 2009 - 08:45 pm: Rydber, you're definitely a frustrated person, most likely for lack of sex. you should ask your friends to take you to Vegas for a couple of days and let you enjoy the many paying girls available there, you will definitely come back less stressed and frustrated. and by the way, you understand s h i t about bikes! my Lack of sex has nothing to do with you being dumb. We all gave you our opinions and you shit on them so there you go. I never said i knew everything about bikes, but i do know i would not pay more then 10k for that thing.} Hardcorps Posted on Friday, April 24, 2009 - 07:22 pm: -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Rydberg = troll, just trying to pick an internet fight. ya caught me! |

The_italian_job, You have a pretty bike. What it's worth is what a person is willing to pay you for it. The only way to know is to put it up for sale. |

Not to say one customized Buell is the same as another, but I'm guessing this guy was thinking his bike was worth a good chunk of change. 0 bids at $8K. I learned this lesson years ago trying to sell a pretty bad ass '72 Chevy Nova. Replacing parts adds very little value. Replacing paint adds very little value. Custom fabrication can take value away. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-Firebolt-07-b uell-firebolt_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ66Q3a2Q7 c65Q3a1Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a0Q7c293Q3a8Q 7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem280 339143449QQitemZ280339143449QQptZUSQ5fmotorcycles It only takes one buyer to pay the cash you want though. Finding that one buyer can be very difficult though. |
