Ok, I had a city cross 2005 xb9sx. I did the complete front end conversion to an R style. Now after realizing comfort is way more important I want to change it all back. I sold all the stock parts, so I'm basically looking for any info anyone may have, like parts lists etc.....for the R to S, but keep in mind my bike is a S, with all the fuse box and ecm under the seat. So I guess I'm looking for a S front end parts list. Basically everything needed to do the switch and mount it up, fasteners and all....I looked in the vault but could only find S to R conversion info and parts lists...I need the parts list for a S front. Hardware and flyscreen and nuts and bolts and any helpful info....Sorry for such a confusing scenario. Thanks in advance. |

Give me some time I can try and put together a full list, you will need the two main fairing brackets, cross brace, headlight assembly, a few screws to hold the headlights, and a few screws to hold the flyscreen on . Possibly a part or two I missed. I got most of what you want in my garage, I switched from a S to X fairing. |

Just go to a dealership and look at the parts catalog for your bike, everything will be broken down. I just swapped my S to an R and it is way more comfortable now and the control is ten times better. Plus it has the raw mean look of the S. I think you're crazy to switch back. |

Kbaddict, I'm a bit confused, You switched your S to an R but it still has the raw mean look of the S? Exactly how? Thats why I want to switch back to the S front end. Im just trying to figure what makes me crazy. I WANT the S front end back. To get the original look. That raw mean look as you say. Im not being sarcastic, I just dont understand how you switched from an S to an R but kept the look of the S???? Please explain. I may be missing something here. Or perhaps you missed something. I want to go back to the original xb9s front bars and all. To get as you say, the raw mean look back. Again Im not trying to be sarcastic, just a little confused by your message. |

For the right price... my S front end could be yours. I have been wanting to do a VRod headlight... and this might be the motivation I was looking for. |

The only parts I really need are the top triple and the stock bars, the flyscreen, the handguards and misc fasteners, and umm, instructions and patience. I have the lights, ignition, headlamp grill, the crossbrace and brackets that hold it to the frame and the lollipop mirrors. But the lollipops arent going back on no matter what. Guess Ill buy another set of CRG bar end mirrors. So If you got any of them pieces mentioned above, triple, bars and flyscreen, let me know. PM me |

Not sure what CRG bar ends cost but my $46 e-bay set works great and I have heard are nearly identical to the CRG's which I imagine are pricey. |

Sinatra - I would love to buy the R front parts from you when you switch back to an S. I want to put an R front on mine, but I am going to maintain the S bars. So I really wouldn't need the top triple tree, but if its a package deal then so be it. But really all I'm looking for is a front fairing, fairing mount, and the headlight assembly. |
