Looking to add some performance parts to my 2008 XB12R. I know I want to run open air box and need a new pipe. I have done the research and the air box problem seems simple, but there are so many exhaust systems out there, I don't know where to begin. I am looking for good low and mid range. Don't really need to go 200mph, just want to have a nasty corner carver that sounds as tough as it looks. Don't want something crazy loud, but do like to rumble the pavement. I have heard Drummer, Micron, TIforce, D&D, etc. I have read good reviews on all of them, but looking for advice on the best one for performance and sound. Also, do I need to get ECMspy and do some tuning? Are there huge gains to make by doing this? Want to get a pipe soon......any advice is appreciated. |

Go to american sportbike and download the exhaust shootout. It has dynos and sound clips for all of the top pipes made for the Buells. But here is my .02 I like the look sound and performance of the Micron, maybe you can find one since they stopped producing them and if you wanna drop anywhere fro 800-900 bucks. Next in line for me would be the drummer. As far as ECMspy you cannot tune the 08+ with it yet and the ECM will learn whatever you do to bike pretty quickly and adjust to it. |

Oh yeah and welcome to the fam-damily. Any questions you have post them on here and someone will chime in with an answer or just a funny smart ass comment. Remeber the search tool is your friend and will find you many answers on here. Some of the more grumpy old bastards will fuss when you ask a question that was asked a while ago, but you know how old farts can be.

From the sounds of it your decision can be made on looks. All of the pipes you mention are good and will give you what you're looking for. If I were in your shoes it would be up to price and looks by now. |

I love my drummer... wouldnt have done it any other way if I could do it again. Plus you dont have to send in your core if you have the $250 laying around for a deposit, I still need to send in my pipe . |

Or you do like I did and buy a used pipe on here and send it for the drummer plus keep your stock one in case you ever get rid of the buell then you put it back original and sell the aftermarkets parts separately |
