The only two options I've seen for upgraded footpegs are: American Sport Bike: $99 for the drop mount and $30 for the peg Ebay: Knight cnc shop - $65 & $75 (black) billet Any other good ones out there with the 1" drop? |

The Ss has 1" drop pegs standard. They're cheap. In every conceivable way. I just ordered the ones from American Sport Bike... should be here today, as a matter 'o fact! ~SM |

I thought all the "S" models came with a 1" drop from the factory. Are you wanting an additional 1" drop (2" total)? I went the other way and got traction pegs which are the same as the "R" models, straight out. If you're not the original owner maybe someone swapped the S pegs for R pegs like me. If so then get some stock S pegs, they're dirt cheap. |

I have the "S" pegs on my "R" to get the 1" drop. |

Oh, do all S models have the 1" drop? I was thinking it was just the Ss... y'know, that whole "more relaxed" riding position thing. Maybe they do! ~SM |

Oh, do all S models have the 1" drop? Yep. Are you wanting an additional 1" drop (2" total)? Doubt it, that would be dangerous |

If you get the Ulysses footpeg mounts it will drop you a few more inches. You will need to either modify your lightning pegs a bit to use them, or get Uly pegs too. |

I want to do the same thing to my R. |

The Uly has the extra ground clearance to make up for it though. Dunno what you'd be left with if you go dropping the pegs 2-3" on a standard S model. You may wind up with some cruiser-ish lean angles. ~SM |

Does American Sport Bike sell just the stock S pegs? I see the aftermarket stuff on there...but I dont see the stock pegs. |

I was just looking for a replacement to the standard footpeg (yes, std has a 1" drop) My RH peg broke and a new one is only $16 from HD($26 for the pair). Just curios if there was a better & stronger alternative, for not a whole lot more moohla. For something my nappy boot stomps on, $16 bucks is looking hard to beat (although Al's LSL pegs sure are pretty!) |

Yep, I have already touched the feelers on my SS with Uly peg mounts, and I was not even getting overly aggressive. I didn't want the lower height, I just wanted the ability to mount hard bags easily on my bike. |

Here's my Ss/Uly mix. They're lower, but I wouldn't call it crusier-ish

Yeah, looks like there's still plenty of room there. I'd love to use the Uly pegs on mine, but I refuse to give up the S-style heel guards. I'm not fond of the way they rigged the Uly peg mounts. Just a style preference. Dunno why they couldn't make the pegs fit the same way as all the others... hell, everything else on these bikes is interchangeable, why switch up the footpegs? ~SM |

I like how the mounts carry the line of the frame back further, but I don't like the passenger peg. I use a Corbin gunfighter now and never have a passenger so I may cut them off. I go back and forth on it. |

The Uly pegs will fit fine on the XB brackets, its just a little loose as the Uly pegs have a smaller hinge.

On an SS with Uly peg mounts you'll have about the same lean angle as an XT. |

FYI Uly pegs also come in polished Al for about half the price of the black. |

How about rearsets? Does the Uly convert set the peg mount rearward any? I'm 6'6", and my boots are size 13. The shifter and brake get a little cramped for me sometimes. I was gonna fab up a new peg mount, but if I can get the same effect for just a little coin.... |

Marko asked if American Sport Bike sells the stock S pegs and the answer is no. Apparently there is a history of those cast pegs breaking as has been reported by a few folks on the BadWeB. But the dropped pegs that American Sport Bike sells are much sturdier and have various options as to style and color. I was interested in the S pegs for a new bike and Al showed me the LSL/silver round peg combo. Done deal! |

<has uly pegs on my cityx with no mods. The springs (and you feet) keep them from wiggling around with maybe the extra 1/8" in the mount. I was looking for a wider peg for use in commuting and such. |

Just got my LSL scalloped in gunmetal with the 1" drop mount. They look GREAT, and feel much better than the Crossroads competition ones I had installed. ~SM |
