I'm looking for a carbon exhaust for the XB, but I don't want the loudest one around. The reviews on the Jardines make them seem pretty loud. Has anyone tried the Carbon fiber ones? |

I have the stainless Jardine. It's loud and I like it. I don't know, but I can't imagine the baffles are different in the CF exhaust. |

Yeah, pretty sure the carbon fiber one is just carbon fiber wrapped over a regular metal muffler. |

I've got the CF pipe and when I think it's loud I just fire up my wife's Sportster with it's V&H slip-ons. That's loud! My ears do ring a bit after a couple of hours though. |

it's loud! you're not gonna sneak out of the neighborhood with this on your bike and depending on what type of helmet you have makes all the difference in the world if you're gonna get a headache from it. but all in all i think it's a great pipe. (Message edited by ustorque on April 09, 2009) |

Yeah, pretty sure the carbon fiber one is just carbon fiber wrapped over a regular metal muffler. it is strictly a CF shell, it is not just a CF skin over metal. |

Did not know that - most c/f mufflers for cars are just the outer layer. So does it sound different then the metal ones?? |
