My bike was originaly blue with the Gold wheels. I must get the plastics repainted and thinking of going to a different color. Was thinking about black but I'm open to suggestions. Pics would be greatly apreciated. | ||

I was thinking black would look great but havent seen any pictures of black with gold wheels. The all black is nice however  BTW: any tricks to removing the stick on letters on the faux tank cover ? | ||

My 04 Lightning was LineX'd with gold wheels. I see the bike from time to time and the coating looks good as do the wheels. The coating had a top-coat applied and it sure helped when I wanted to scrub the bugs off. NUTS | ||

the letters come right off the box, a hair dryer and fishing wire and go slow. It took about two beers to do. (all repairs or mods are rated by a beer/pizza ratio for time and effort) and a pic, cuz y'all aint seen it in this thread yet.  back when she was naked | ||

Thanks guyz! I ran the box cover under hot water for 10 minutes and they came right off. BTW: can I buy the B U E L L letters from the dealer? Also I need a new flyscreen in DARK TINT or Black. Can I buy that from BUELL? If so how much are they usualy. Or should I get it from an aftermarket company ????? | ||

Gold is the ugliest color in the world, blue all the way! As for fly-screen, the translucent black one is called Kick Ash, I can get you part numbers if you want. Also, I can try and get you the part numbers for whatever BUELL decal you want. | ||

I bought my 04 before anyone in Wisconsin took delivery. Thanks again Daves. Anyway I chose red. Mainly because I felt the black and Amber looked like a 77 Trans Am. All it needed was the fire chicken on the fly screen. But of coarse I got sick of it and painted it. It now has every color imaginable (Message edited by bads1 on April 09, 2009) | ||

Thanks Jean.... I was out in the garage going through some things on it today. Weather is getting warmer and I really wanted to ride. But I still have the undertail and tail light section in the paint booth. Having some more art work done. Hope in the next couple week's. | ||

black and gold is good. ...but i think it's been done too much. white and gold is good. haven't seen much of that. would look sweet with the gold letters on the tank. blue and gold, not so much... changed my original blue stuff out for the Valencia Orange. before...  i know a lot of people don't like the orange, but i love it:  (Message edited by chasten on April 14, 2009) | ||
