Not sarcasm. I was saying that if he is going to try to pass this off as a race muffler then he should make it look like one. The exit pipes are coming off the back, instead of at the corners like the Pro race muffler. The seller has updated the listing as a custom muffler and not the Pro Race muffler. | ||

I dunno- what makes him a "scammer"? Even in the tile he has the word "custom", and he states clearly that it is not a "Buell Pro Race Pipe" (I understand that he added that since this thread started, but still). $200 for a pipe that has been modified and jet -hot coated does NOT make one a scammer. | ||

J/K I think he changed his post because someone more than likely asked the right questions or stated he was false advertising which I like to call scamming if you know what you have and sell it as something else you sir are a scammer He later changed his post which the people who bidded on it are now going to probably back out. I saw it before he edited it, he was scamming nobody. Same as people selling empty Wii boxes on ebay and getting $400 for it because people don't read the description. It does resemble the race pipe, but he clearly stated it was a custom pipe. | ||

I'm in the process of building a custom muffler for my new bike, and think the jet-hot coating's a good idea. Does anybody know if they still offer flat black? Every hot-rodder knows flat paint weighs less... duh! | ||

If your selling empty boxes to someone for 400 dollars I dont care if you state it your scamming someone.I do agree buyer beware but what if it was your grandmother or something that got that deal would you not say its a scam. | ||

I doubt my grandmother would be on Ebay buying a empty Wii box  Also, I don't see how its scamming someone. You post a box on ebay, hell it might be a collector edition box or something, expecting to get $20 for it. Next thing you know, its 5 minutes before the auction ends and people are seeing the auction for the first time, don't read anything, and bids are up in the $300s, a minute later they are at $400 and it ends at $422.57. A similar thing happened to a friend of mine, he had a promo poster for the Playstation 3 when it first came out. He put it on ebay because he didn't want it, and sold it for just under $600, not even trying to scam someone. Needless to say after some nasty emails and some threats from paypal he got to keep the money. | ||

I don't know if any of you guys have noticed, but there are many folks on E-Bay that are not so good at reading or writing. To take advantage of that and to sell something like an empty box for hundreds of dollars without SCREAMING in your ad to everyone that it's an empty box is the same as stealing as far as I'm concerned. Your average scumbag scammer would call that successful marketing....... | ||
