Ive got two long rides planned. Im riding to helen this weekend with my dad and a couple buddies. about 350 miles round trip with ride time in between, weather supposed to be in the high 70's. Then next wednesday, its off to the redneck riviera, sunny Panama City Beach Fla. Thats about 800 miles round trip, then some extra ride time down there, hoping the weather will be around 80. SO thats gonna be a lot of fun. Fresh set of spark plugs and oil for my bike. |

Last week this weekend looked great. I arranged to get my bike out of storage tomorrow. Today, they're forecasting snow in the morning and the rest of the week. Thanks for sharing, and rubbing it in. Have fun. Haha, sort of. |

He said "long ride", not "long trip". So, yes it qualifies. :-p |

i'll give me the long trip. I rode my bike from Iowa to SoCal in 4 days (day 3 i didnt ride at all, just relaxed) with saddlebags, rearseat bag and backpack bungied onto the back of the bike. Total of 1800 miles, and it was an ass kicker the whole way.
But i did get to see some AMAZING sights along the way |

its not the legs, its your back and butt that get it the most. |

Where I'm from, so I'm not worried about the cold, spend 20 years of my 21 years up there, I know the cold ha ha. It's the only time I get to go home till June, so that's why it's now, suppose to be in the 50's. |

Just remember 50 is the high temp. The high temp is only for a few hours. The rest of the time it will be cooler. Couple tips that help a lot, * Underarmor is light and helps keep the heat in without feeling heavy or bulky * The primary makes a great hand warmer, tuck down and plant your hand on it once in a while. * Rain gear makes a great wind barrier in cold weather. Have a safe trip. |
