When the new water-cooled buell comes out later this year, what do we think the designation will be? Should we ask HD to make sure it ends with a 'B' so that it sits better next to the word 'Board' on the home page? VRSCB? XC14R (With an XC14CR naked version in the wings?) Maybe Bubba's new can for it will be a Vrummer? I hear that Brion's already working on a velocity stack. Evidently the test-mule went through Oatman last week and stopped to talk to his buddies. They are working on a trail-bike version to be called the Buell Burro, with a smaller Blast-based model, the Buell Burrito. Hope this ends all speculation. Martin

There is already a VRSCB model designation for Harley-Davidson; the second model in the V-rod family. |

So.... is it confirmed that there is a new model coming out this year? I only ask because I was getting ready to buy the XB12S, I had a 9S and loved it. I'll wait just to be sure I don't regret it if ya'll can confirm for me that something new is coming out. Last I heard/read was that there was just speculation and it didn't make sense for Erik to put a water cooled bike out just yet. I know there was a post a while back discussing this with "sightings" of a prototype or something. Just don't know if maybe I missed something. I'm overseas right now (military) and getting the bike through AAFES... pretty good deal. Not so good that I wouldn't wait ... just to see. I need to make up my mind soon though before I head back to the state.... pretty soon! yeah!! Thanks in advance. |

wow... a bunch of smartass answers. I ask a simple question from this site.. fellow buell enthusiasts. My apologies for not having the online time over here in Iraq to review all the posts about this or to be in the "know". You're giving Buellers kind of a bad name. Good thing it's not you all I'm over here for... oh, wait a minute... |

Lance, the guys are just having some fun. Too much cold weather and not enough riding so the imaginations run wild. Apologies if you thought this was a serious discussion. On a side note, I've been where you're at and if you lose your sense of humor you're f@cked. Hang in there and when you get home you can snatch up whatever the newest Buell turns out to be. |

Lance...sorry they gave you the runaround. Anyways, nothing definite as far as new models go. Neither HD nor Buell likes to give advance notice. Plenty of rumors but nothing concrete. I have personally seen a Revo powered XB but that doesnt mean it will be out this year or ever. But I sure wouldnt bet against it in the next 2 years. Buy the 12 if thats what you want, beat the crap out of it & trade it when a new model comes along. |

If you wait to buy a bike because a new model is just around the corner - you'll never buy a bike. There will always, ALWAYS, be something newe around the bend. Buy what you want, run the piss out of it, and when something new does come along (and it will), make the decision then to keep yours or trade 'up'. -=not getting rid of his 'piddly' XB9R anytime soon=- Bryan |

guy told me he saw the ANG dropping olive drab/camo buell burritos out of a black helicopter up near fort greely, doing cold weather testing. it is a single cylinder, 600cc air cooled 5 speed. 3.5 bore, 3.8 stroke. knobby tires, these ones had winter spike tires his digital cam batteries were dead, but he sez he saw 4 of the bikes. |

Lance in all honesty I didn't even get to your post. My comment was for the very first post in the thread. |

Cool.. thanks for the replies. Don't get me wrong, I love the 12, demo'ed it and loved my 9S. I was just thinking if it's this year then I'll wait to see. I actually really like the air cooled motors, simple, easy and cheaper. If's it's two years away then hell yes I'll get the 12. Erik may actually come up with a water cooled engine that I like. |
