now im doing a lsl cilp on mod now i seen some people are using the r cables instead of the s cables now whats the difference between them?

Length is the easy answer. Are you looking for the difference in inches?

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/361089.html?1234489759 shows using the S cable with LSL. The R cable has a doo-dad that forces a curve but I cut mine off for my lower Woodcraft bars.

so i guess i could get away with the s cable than but i heard there a recall on these cables maybe i could get the dealer give me a r cables instead of a s one...

The R cable may not be long enough. If there is actually a recall on your 2008 S cable, the dealer should give you a new improved one and install it.
