Anyone else on here got the Latus exhaust? Just wondering what yalls thoughts were on it. Ive installed quite a few other pipes on my buddies XB's but nothing seems to have the sound or the power of my Latus. I lucked out and it was on the bike when i got it from the dealer. I dont really know where this post is going, haha it just seems like its worth talking about. |

Mine - Too loud! Hurt my ears.- Had to wear ear plugs. Set off car alarms. I made some baffles for it. Fine now. |

Well im young, thats exactly what i go for. Setting off car alarms is like an award for me. Where i live is really biker friendly, so the cops dont hassle me at all about being too loud. Plus I worked at Hd ATL and used to sell the motor-cops The loudest pipes we could get them on their patrol bikes. Also i have a 02 sporty with striaght joker pipes that will litterally make your ears almost bleed. So i dont really consider my buell loud compared to what im used to. |

No they cannot still be Purchased. For Edelbrock stopped making the muffler that the Latus was made out of. Once in a while you can find the Edelbrock muffler on EBay and can mod it to fit your bike. As for buying them straight from the dealer nope not available anymore. |

I run a Latus and while it is loud, it is not straight pipe loud. I love the sound. Its deep and sounds clean. I had multiple versions of a hack pipe before this and it sounded ratty. The latus is not that way at all. Its my favorite sound for a buell. The closest sound Ive heard to a latus is the drummer. Old Man, I hear ya. I actually made baffles simmilar to the way you did. I found it in your old posts. BTW..Thanks! For long rides I drop them in. The sound is pretty similar but in my helmet it is less harsh. |

I have a latus on my xb9 and it is one of the best mufflers for the 9. It makes gobs of power and I have left many modded 12's behind with it. The 9's get a bad rap but in my experiences it is a much smoother and quicker bike. It's very easy to make 12 power numbers with it. |
