I have a 1998 S1 White Lightning and want to know if anybody can tell me the best frame to buy to convert the buell to a street fighter preferrably a company that has a conversion frame that lets you usemost of your buell parts |

OK I will bite Jeff. The S1 White Lightning in my opinion is the Sweetest street fighter ever built as Production bike, so what do you want to make it look like with a new frame. |

What are you wanting to do? The S1 is already a street fighter. Plus this needs to be posted in the knowledge vault. edited by spooky on January 28, 2004 |

are you asking for a chopper frame? Cause anything but a Firebolt in the Buell line pretty much falls under the catagory of streetfighter... |

The S1 IS the Streetfighter all other try to emulate. They don't get any nastier looking than a stripped S1. Please don't strip/part out another classic S1. It kills me (and many others) to see these works of art lost forever. If I had the money, I'd start a home for orphan S2's and S1's. JMHO Brad

Brad...I'm with you 100%!!! That's why I'm restoring a S1W. I bought a second S3T about 2 years ago because it was the right price. I did some work to it last winter in a vain attempt to create an S1W from an S3T. While the bike looked good (at least I thought so), it still wasn't the same. After seeing too many S1/S1W's being dismantled for parts, I bought an Ice Pearl White S1W complete (minus motor). The second S3T has become an "heart donor" for this project. Now if the weather would warm just a little, I could get this ball rolling |

Now if I could just win the lottery... I'd built that Buell orphanage. |

While I agree with the rest of the fellas' input on the subject of destroying the best american made motorcycle ever made, I believe in doing what you want to do. With regards to that I think the information you are looking for can be found at the following link. They have many of these bikes and specialize atleast in some part in doing just that! Check out: http://www.bemoregay.com/ But this is a Buell Enthusiasts' Site and you are giving advice to fools seeking to turn a Buell into a friggin chopper!? You just won yourself the honor of a spot in the BadWeB Hall of Shame. Now go write 100 times, "It is wrong to turn a Buell into a chopper, and I will never again aid such an effort!" edited by blake on January 30, 2004 |

I have seen some MCWORX bikes in person and they are sooooo nice. They make a frame for Buell front end transplants as well as the normal triple trees. Easy swap for a wrecked Buell, if the front end is still ok of course. |

hmmm. Not exactly the first time a link to them has been posted. Don't remember anyone else getting the same honor. Just another reason to post less and less on this board.. |

nothing wrong with this..(redneck choppers) it takes the buell motor, transmission, wiring harness, wheels, front end,etc.. maybe when i buy a new buell in a couple of years, I may just strip the XB9S/R down..who knows. |
