I had the bike hooked up to the battery tender overnight. When I tried to start it this morning, it tried to turn over once and then battery was dead. (I've never had a problem with my battery before.) I hooked it back up to the battery tender and within a few minutes I had enough juice to get the bike started. I took the bike for a ride and everything seemed fine. When I got home I turned the bike off and restarted it several times with no problem. I hooked it back up to the tender and later in the afternoon it did the same thing again. I got the bike started again and let it idle. After 30 seconds or so, the revs drop below 500 and the engine seems to struggle to keep running. After another 30 seconds the bike would die. I havent checked the plugs, but I did change them back in december; I would think they're still good. I've never had this problem before. I rode to school and work this week and I had no troubles with idle or start up at all. Any ideas? |

Sounds like the terminals need to be cleaned and tightened. |

+1 on Etennuly's suggestion. Something definitely is not consistently making contact. Add the washers and watch the torque. Good luck. |
