Where would I be able to find the part number for that? I lost the bolt that the shifter to pivots on.

I was on my way home from work tonight. While exiting the free way I went to down shift I shifted down to 4th, when I tried to shift down for 3rd my foot couldnt find the shifter. I looked down and saw the shifter dangling from the bike, fortunately it was a long exit ramp. I was able to ride the rest of the way home in 3rd though. I stayed calm and didnt panic, it was pretty eventful for my second day riding.

I got one at the local hardware store. I think it was a 12-24x3/4, a 12-32x3/4, or a 10-24(or 32)x3/4. They are cheap, so you can buy one of each to see what werks.

Please don't trust my memory about the length...you should measure it before making any purchase. I think I also put a lock nut on for good measure.

there are several shifter bolts... the big one that holdsz the whole shifter.. and the smaller ones that hold on the linkages.. I've had the linkage bolts fall off way too many times, and im sure thats what you need, go the home depot : D

the big shifter bolt im 100% positive is a special order

--------
follow me and save yourself the future hassle of them falling off ever again....
find a slightly longer screw and appropriate nut.. 'N Bolt both ends up

Loctite should be fine for the small ones and is lighter!!

I replaced my larger bolt after a tipover with a SS allen bolt and washer with loctite. I was careful how far I tightened it, so I didn't bind up the pivot.

Shes fixed! I picked up a 5/16 bolt at the hardware store. Works like a dream now! I put a little lock tite on there to make sure it doesnt happen again.
