i changed my oil and primary late last season i put about 1500 miles on full synthetic amsoil, than stord it for the winter in my house. Should i change it again along with the primary? P.s I've heard that i can get 5,000miles out of amsoil is that true? |

You can go 5,000+ on any oil, dino or synthetic according to the owners manual. I dump the my motor and primary every 2,000-2,500.... but some on this board say I'm wasting fluids. Oils cheaper than internal parts. |

Engine oil should be changed every six months regardless of synthetic or dino, and even if no miles traveled. |

Amsoil, and other quality synthetic oils are designed to perform to 5,000 miles or more. Dino oils start to break down after approx 2,000 miles, and I would not attempt to stretch any mineral oil to 5,000 miles... it's cheap- change it. |
