My son has branched out his decalgirl.com business into Trackwraps.com . He is very active with NESBA and found some low sides were problematic money wise and came up with the idea of wrapping the plastics with vinyl. The first wrap was on a GSXR that a friend laid down. He recently wrapped an XB12 for a buddy, really cool look with the result in the pics below. This skin would save a lot of us the aggravation of exchanging plastics to personalize our scoots with this vinyl acting as a protective film and a new visual effect.
I am hoping to get him onboard as a sponsor of BadWeb, he may also be selling the skins through Pete at Grandstand Designs. This is not shameless promotion, just a proud Dad wanting to share what I think is a great idea that may help in our striving to personalize our bikes. Pete |

Looks awesome, I would love something that looks good with my Hero Blue translucent plastics and wheels. |

Is this material reasonably easy to remove if you decide to revert back or change to a different wrap? Is this something that is installed by the customer at home or does it need to be done by your son? Also would it be possible to get a skin for a full fairing firebolt? I assume prices are TBD. |

Great idea - but can it be installed by the below-average idiot (like ME)? My track history with vinyl on curved shapes hasn't been that good. |

Yes, the skin can be easily removed and the underlying finish is untouched. There is a video on his website www.trackwraps.com that is real time with a couple guys. Not hard at all for the regular guy or gal.. prices are posted on his site. Froggy...check out the site for color options Diablobrian...Yes, the skin can be easily removed and the underlying finish is untouched. I have my fairing wrapped on my 'Bolt ( Sharkskinz ). Prices are posted on the website. Slaughter.... kit is easy to install by anybody, check out the video on the Trackwraps website for actual install by my son and a friend. Thanks for the positive vibes!!} |

wraps are everywhere these days. Started on cars and trailers, now mastercrafts are wrapped from the factory, and now bikes. looks good, I like the idea. Im sure it will really take off with full fairing bikes. |

Its not as easy as you think to put on any Truck, car motorcycle. Need a little understanding of what vinyl can and cannot do. A video will not show you how to install this and you get good results first time. Mistake...... and you can throw it away and start over. |

Yea Pete I saw the YamaCamo stuff, looks like the closest thing to the Hero Blue, but I would rather have a solid color. I might order up a sheet anyway, I might like the way it looks on the chin spoiler and junk. |

Froggy, love to see your wrap... come to think of it, I gotta go about 500 miles to see mine! Ready for the season but snowed again today... bring on NJMP! I am sure customer service will be of great help in the install, Ry is going to monitor this thread, any comments from the site would be appreciated and dealt with to make this product both user and biker friendly. I do not think easy is an applicable word, cautious procession over the surfaces, a spare set of hands and the provided kit should make it doable for all but those endowed with ten thumbs...this vinyl is the highest grade available and comes from a company with years of experience with the medium... customer service is a prideful thing,,, |

My friend owns Sign company. My Son work's for him. He also does wrap's. I know first hand they aren't easy. If someone makes a mistake are you going to tell us that your son will send out a piece of the kit for free if its installed wrong or creased, ripped,or worse??? Its wiser to have installed to have less grief. But then again you aren't a sponsor yet and you are promoting your son's business. |

That sprocket with the touque must stand up at idle I thought the same thing. Bads1 is right, but if you buy this wrap you should feel confident in putting it on. I think that's a bad azz idea and I feel I could put that on with an extra set of hands and get "factory" results. If your hesitant about the work involved...don't do it. |

One thing I know about my boy, he is a stand up fella, I would guess (I just tried calling and he is out ) that if this business is like his decalgirl business, he would send out additional material to cover the error and make the deal right. Please feel free to check with Pete at Grandstand about what kind of man he is.. Can you tell I'm kind proud? Sort of like the day he blew by me on the XBR on his 1098r Ducati... makes a Dad proud!! LOL |

Yeah but what if you park it in the bushes ? That tough fast orange would guarantee you find your bike in the bush. |

I'd hate to lose my bike out in the bush. But at least you won't get on it and ride it away. |
