Hi everybody. I got my headlight brackets on my 05 lightning powder coated over the winter and I installed them without even thinking about if anything was grounded to them. Are there any grounds that connect to them. If so where, because I have some sanding to do. Thanks.

Good news, there is one ground connection for your bike. And it's easy to get to.

Remove the headlights and look directly behind them at the neck of the frame. there is one screw hole there that the headlights and horn ground to. There should be 3 wires and 2 connectors coming out of the harness in that same vicinity.

I know because they kept breaking on me. Finally wired them to the bracket under the flyscreen and ran a heavy duty, uber-flexible cable down to the ground point.

Thanks Smiley! Do you know if it was grounded to the actual brackets or just something underneath the fly screen? Im wont be by my bike for a week and I just was thinking about this the other day.
