Alright, since I managed to link that last one out so that you can't even get into the thread I'll try again. I'm considering the NHRS sig. exh. system, but had some questions, that I was hoping someone could shed light on. 1) I've seen the dyno chart for a XB9, but not for an XB12, and I was curious how much it does for the 12. 2) I've heard it without the baffle and it was a little loud for my tastes, but I was curious how much of a difference the baffle makes, and also what effect it has on the power curve of the bike in question number 1. 3) Mark had mentioned that the ground clearance was an issue with this pipe, and I was curious how serious it is and if that will either be changed with the next generation of the force pipe or if it can be modified slightly. | ||

The baffle makes almost no difference in the noise level. At least I couldnt tell one on Scooters XB9. Ran it both ways & sounded almost the same to me. | ||

1) Anthony, the problem is that as the market for the XB12 pipe emerged, the pipes were put on hold due to durability concerns. So I haven't actually put one on a 12 and dyno'ed it yet. I'm as anxious as anyone though, especially to see how it stacks up to that valve in the stocker. I expect it to work well, just based on my measurements of it, but we'll see. 2) The baffle does very little for the volume level. Takes a touch off the sharpness of the note is all. Personally, I love the sound of the things. They just snarl. But to each his own. 3) DaveS or Shazam would be more qualified to speak on that. | ||

I'm curious with this next generation what kinda of reliability we can expect. After all if they want to stay in business, they're gonna have to step it up. I'm kinda glad its gonna be awhile before I buy, assuming he gets these things out in the next month I'll have awhile to see how they hold up for people. As for taking the edge off, thats really about all I'm looking for. | ||

I have a question for you Aaron... You know when an old muscle-car drives by with something at least as large as a 350-351 or so and has a decent set of headers you can just tell? It doesn't matter what exhaust, but you can always tell if there's a set of headers under there. Does the Nallin pipe make something akin to that sound? | ||

The pipe is almost $1400.00 for the whole kit,ecm airfilter,etc to what they told me a couple months ago when I spoke to them. | ||

Would that include stage 1 headwork or something?? That sounds pretty high to me. I suppose with the ECM and such maybe not... | ||
