Hey Aaron, or anyone else with this tidbit of knowledge. I've decided that I am gonna go with an aftermarket system, and I was considering the force setup, but I've got a few potential concerns. 1) I've seen the charts for this pipe on a 9R with the power commander, but don't know how it'll fair on a 12. 2) I've heard the bike in person without a baffle and it was too loud for my tastes, but I haven't heard it with the baffle, and was curious how much of a difference it makes in the sound level, and also how it affects the dyno back in my first question. 3) According to Mark, our much hallowed Buell racer, it interferes with ground clearance. Not that I even could scrape it at my current level of skill, but I am planning on getting to the track a fair amount and wanted to know how bad the clearance issue is or if it'll possibly be taken care of with Force's next generation of this pipe. |

At this time if you could get one that won't break would be your biggest concern. The baffle is just a little quieter. I have two friends that have been waiting for 5 months for Force to resolve their problem. They both broke with in 6 weeks. They were put on properly. STILL no word from Force on warranty. They aren't saying if they are out right warranting the pipes. What do ya think of that? One of the guys put on the 12 pipe and the other had to put his stock one back on. You probably don't want one do ya? |

I'll take a third generation one that Shazam keeps giving updates on. Its probably going to be awhile before I actually purchase, just cause I have some other things that have higher priority and then gotta save the cash for it. BTW, Blake, could you rename this post for me so the title actually links from the board. edited by boulderbiker on January 12, 2004 |
