Hello everyone. I've noticed a little oil by the shifter. Is this normal or something I should be worried about?

Hey Kevin, There is a shift shaft oil seal at the exact location you're pointing out. It appears that you're having a weaping issue at that seal. It shouldn't be a big issue if it stays at the amount of weapage shown. Just keep a tab on your primary oil level. I feel your pain as it's a hassle having to clean the residue off the wrinkle black primary. Since your bike is an '09 I run it back into the dealer and have them replace it under warranty. Its only a $4 seal, but you already paid for it when you bought the bike - use the warranty to your advantage! Good lookin' bike and welcome to Buell insanity! |

Thanks Scott. I'll give it a week. If it gets worse, I'll take her in for a checkup. =) Have fun riding bro. Semper Fi

Yep like Bo Sox said, your warranty will cover it. Nothing to worry about in the mean time. |
