I no longer have an XB which leaves me somewhat heart broken but I'm looking at another. Old bike was an 04 XB12S with the race kit and such an awesome reliable bike. Now I'm looking at an 06 Buell Ulysses with 7000 miles for around $6500. It's from a local dealer and the lower mileage and the price is appealing. I loved everything about my lightning but I would like the ability to take a passenger comfortably and to go longer distances. Is this a good deal? The price seems fair. Just looking for some input from fellow Ulysses riders. |

I'd say it's pretty good. I'm assuming no luggage. I'm selling an 06 with 22,000 miles for $6,000 with lots of extras. I might offer $6,000 and see if they bite. It's more important to get the bike you want than to squeeze every nickel out of the deal. If you could find the one you wanted, were confident about the bike, and felt like the dealer is a good one to work with, there isn't that much difference in price between $5,750 and $6,500. When you are carving your favorite back road, saving $250 or $500 here or there won't really matter much. (Message edited by ft_bstrd on February 02, 2009) |

This looks like it would be a GREAT deal....what you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-Firebolt-2005 -BUELL-XB12R-FIREBOLT-12-CARBON-FIBER-BODY-9-187-M I_W0QQitemZ390028194433QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_motor cycles?hash=item390028194433&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 &_trkparms=72%3A317|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308 Pretty sure that is about 3k in carbon fiber alone, so if you did the buy it now, it would be like only paying $2,800 for the bike itself (Message edited by juniorkirk on February 02, 2009) |

I've been thinking about a Ulysses for some time now. I took a long test ride on an 06 and I loved it. The only thing I didn't like was my ability to touch the ground. I'm 5'11" and I can stabalize the bike really good it's just I'm no where flat foot. I'll be riding the majority of the time anyway! |

I'm 5'11.5" tall. I round up. The Uly is not an issue. Flat footing is over rated. |
