I've had my 08 XT since September. No issues what so ever, and the gas mileage went up following the break in period and 1k mile service. I haven't heard too much regarding the ECM flashing. I recommend the 08 if only because it is damn near identical to the 09, and you may be able to save a few dollars helping a dealer move it out of the dealership. And for what it's worth, I have never been happier with a bike before. I only wish I would have bought a Buell earlier. The XT is the most versatile bike I've seen. Not to mention the most comfortable. Just can't say enough good about it. |

Model year and reliability/ridability isn't nearly as important as color. Make sure you get the faster, tougher, and cooler orange. |

I agree, there have been a few people that have hit deers on a Uly, and all of them have been black Ulys. I love having the only Hero Blue Uly. Billybob, yes when the 08's first came out, there was issues with the fueling. Buell changed it a few times, your dealer can update the program for you. Most people got a smoother better running bike and better fuel economy with the reflashes. 07 and earlier bikes will still do a little better with fuel economy, but not by enough to make it worth losing all the advantages of the 08+. |

I have an '08 XT avg. 43 mpg. Only issue excess heat right side thigh area, getting better with miles. I have to say after 41 years of riding and owning different bikes the Uley is the most fun of all. Bob |
