So Yesterday, (Saturday) my friend Don Cook drives an hour and a half one way to come help me race prep the Buell. We had a fun day playing with motorcycles and wrenches. It was a double big help because Don races a Buell himself and could show me specific details to the bike's prep that I might otherwise not have caught. Experience is a great teacher, especially when you can borrow someone else's. It gets better. I'd bought a truck on EBay and needed to drive three hours each way to get it. That was my Sunday plan. Well, Don's house was almost halfway to the truck. I called the sellers and they agreed to meet us. So I got my truck as well and saved a whole day of travel in the process. It probably added another two hours or more to Don's day but he didn't mind and wouldn't even let me buy him some gas for all that trouble. With Jennings only two weeks away, this was the right kind of help at the right time. Cook, you are the man! |

Sounds like you are on the right track. I can't wait to read about that bike winning some cash. |
