Has anyone removed the Buell stickers from atop the fake gas tank? If so, how did you do it and did it leave any marks on the finish.

Ditto the reflectors on the side of the front fork.

Pix would be appreciated.

Thanks much

I have read... blow dryer heat... and dental floss to run under and cut through the adhesive. There has been a thread on this not long ago.

just pull, then use some adhesive remover to get the sticky off. it's nothing too complicated, and no marks will remain unless your cover is sun faded.

WD40 and some elbow grease worked pretty good for removing the adhesive from mine.

I haven't removed the decals from an XB yet but I did remove them from my '99 M2 once. I was able to peel the sticker off by hand and then I cleaned the goo off with rubbing alcohol and gasoline. Gasoline works better as a solvent but the fumes are sure to piss off your roommate. :)

Hi Brucelee

The stickers came off easy on a warm day - and like was suggested, a little WD40 and Mr Sheen and it looked perfect. I prefer the clean look - but a lot more people will be asking what she is, instead of being able to read! Sorry - these are the best I have...

...and we are obviously riders with good taste!

No disrespect to Monster riders (like my mate whose bike is in the pic) - but they are dead boring when compared to the XB - no soul at all..... Just my opinion!

I removed my tail section with a hacksaw and file.... and a fair bit of sweat! Hacking through black plastic on my other bikes was oh so much easier! But the result is great! I manufactured a replacement bracket for my indicators and license plate.
Oh - and I levered the reflectors off with a flat head screwdriver - very carefully! No marks on the forks!
