I disconnected the TPS sensor and harness from the throttle body. Then hooked it back up. Do I have to get the TPS reset now? The "Book" made me do it...Then I noticed I didn't have too, Damn!!!! |

You're good to go. If you just disconnected and re-connected, it has no effect. CHANGING the ECM or CHANGING the sensor means you need the TPS re-set. |

IF you ever have rough running, you might still need to have the TPS re-set - but unplugging and re-plugging has no effect. In fact, I have a race ECM and Stock ECM that were both "zeroed" on my bike and can swap back and forth. (tried it once) |

Thanks that saves me a trip to the nearest Dealer (70)miles away.. Get yourself ECMspy and a cable. Get it done in 10min..if that. Definitely pays for itself. |

Jesse (Firebolt32) is absolutely right. Assuming you are a 2006 (from your profile) if you never use ECMSpy for anything else but re-setting your TPS, it'll pay for itself the first time you use it (cables are a little less $ than a TPS re-set and software is free) |
