Chainsaw was kind enough to send me the pictured Drummer logo cut on a heat resistant material as a test. We don't know if it will hold up on the can, but it looks great for the moment IMHO. I'm hoping to get my scooter back together this afternoon and I will post some pictures of the Drummer installed. Steve |

I got it back together & went for a half hour ride and the sticker is still fine. It is however, only 44 degrees here today in Jersey. edited by blake on December 23, 2003 |

Hey Brian, Been riding in the rain the last few weeks and noticed a little rust on the tail end of the Bid D. Any special paint that I should use? |

Bads - I didn't make the sticker. It was by a BWB member (Chainsaw) as a one off test. Whether he sells them or not is totally up to him. If he should sell them over BWB then he needs to work that out with the owner of this BBS. I hope he does sell them because I think they look good and its great advertising for Bubba & Co. |

The Big D as in Drummer. I was cleaning the thing since it was a decent day and noticed some slight surface rust. It was back on the rear where the chrome tip is, no big deal. Almost of all the rust came off when I cleaned it. I was just thinking what paint needed to be used if repainting was needed in the future. I'll probably just clean it back there more often out here in the winter since I will be riding rain or shine. |

The Drummer logo looks great. But what's with the HD stickers? Is there something wrong with "Powered by BUELL"? (it aint a HD motor btw, you won't find it on any bike harley makes)

Won't find what? I have the HD Bar and Shield on my XB engine. It's in the casting on the left side of my jugs. I think mine is powered by Harley. I'm not trying to get into semantics here, but it's not quantum physics. When the RR came out, it was powered by HD. Why shouldn't his XB be? I understand your pride in Buell. Don't take this the wrong way but an Acura is still a Honda, and a Lamborghini is still a Volkswagen. I take pride in the fact that I ride and American bike. I take pride that HD participates in the production of my bike. My Buell is still a Harley. That's how I look at it. My $ .o2. Rich |

To me it's a Buell. You won't find those engine cases in any of Harley Davidson's bikes. Each his own I guess. I didn't mean to poke you in the eye. Jody |

Rich I have to agree, I like what Erik has done and all, but I have always looked at Buell as being the streetrace version of HD. Its the line HD should have made on their own but indirectly farmed out to Erik. So now that it is under the wing of HD even more so to me its an HD. Also and I admit I may be incorrect in this but it is my understanding that even though the cases aren't used in any of HD's proprietary line the jugs, rods, valvetrain, cams, heads, and pistons are used on the new sportster 1200...so take it as you will. |

Don't get me wrong, I didn't feel the poke. No offense taken. Just polite opinions. Rich |

not to hijack the thread, but thats the very same jack I got for X-Mas this morning.I got the Susie-ki Marauder(my Wife Susans bike!) up on it and cleaned it,but how do you get the Buell to sit on it...maybe I didn't spend enuf time trying to figure it out.I did however take her to the car wash and cleaned her up that way, wish it was more than 36 degrees tho. |

2ranger - I love that jack - it's so easy to use. I CNC'd two crescents out of 3" thick PVC & then glued a 1/16" thick piece of neoprene sheet on top. The radius is 8". You could probably make the same thing out of a couple of 2x6's screwed together and saber saw the radius. A couple of guys want me to make some up. I have to figure out what they would cost to make after the holidays. Steve |
