Santa is so damn cool! Have you ridden it yet? Please give us your opinions on all your new parts after some time in the saddle. |

I rode it enough to make sure everything was cool, the gearshift was adjusted, the brake the hand controls etc...I may take a run tomorrow to give it a good go but honestly I am still feeling the effects from being sick so I don't want to push it. |

A shot of whiskey and some Robotussin tonight and you'll be tearing it up tomorrow. |

Hardluck the Robitusin has Codiene in it already, the whiskey would be overkill... 03, the pegs are eccentrically placed on a wheel that you can rotate. As you turn the wheel it changes the position of the peg. |

Love the bike! Those new Race Bars really set it off IMHO! This is what makes the Lightning look so nice, the Crossroads Bars looks sooooo much better than the bicycle tuber bars!! Nice bike! Ride her hard and have fun! CBJ |

AWESOME> Where did you get these and how much? Do the race bars change the position of the handgrips and if so, how? Nice job!! |

Bars- http://www.nvo.com/crossroads/ They move the grips, down out and forward from the stock position. The rearsets I got from DaveS here but I am not certain who the manufacturer is, possibly Trojan Horse but don't quote me on that. Oh and as a side note, when I first set up the rearsets I wasn't paying that much attention to the pivot point and ended up with a raceshift pattern which threw me off when I went for the first test ride...heh (race pattern is backwards for those not in the know...peg down to shift up peg up to down shift)

I am not certain as far as actual measurements. A seat of the pants feel is about 2-3" but I will go make a comparison with the stock bracket later. edited by wyckedflesh on December 21, 2003 |

Ok it looks like it only moved the pegs back 1 inch, but I've got to tell you that one inch is a big difference in feel. Just took the bike for a nice little jaunt. Crossroads bars and the rearsets made the bike just that much more comfortable. The bars also moved the mirrors so I can actually use them to see without having to pull in my elbows. |

I had just started asking around about those crossroad bars when you post a finished product pic! They look awesome! Please let us know how you like them soon. I'm real curious about the change in comfort level on longer rides. |

Definately will. Though in just the short amount of riding I have done it feels more comfortable already. |
