I have a XB12R and have been thinking about getting a new XB12XT. One problem the XB12R has is the mirrors. They vibrate so much they are almost worthless. Are the XB12XT mirrors better? Also, I heard that the XB12XT and XB12X's get bad gas milage, is that true? Thanks |

I bought an 08 XT, the more miles I go the better the mileage gets. (now at 45/46). the bike only has 3600 miles, because I only get to ride a few times a month,(due to my job). the mirrors are fine for the bike. you get a little vibration, but that is normal. the only problem I have with the mirrors is, they don't stick out far enough. (I'm an average size guy, 6'3" 200lbs.). But I will say, This will run circles around the BMW R1150 GS. the lower center of gravity, and power is awesome! The sad part now is, they don't make the FASTER black model anymore. |

I have a new 09 and there is no vibration in the mirrors. But, keep in mind, I just got rid of an 03 Road King. Too soon to tell about fuel economy. I was told by the dealer that touring with the bags drops about 5 mpg off the top, which is supposed to be about 59 mpg. Have no vision problems with the mirrors. |

I have an 08 XT with about 4000 miles. No problem with mirror vibration. You will find less vibration in the handle bars on the XT also. Gas mileage in all city riding is 38 mpg, interstate riding I get 48 mpg with or without bags. The fueling is flawless. I do have to blip the throttle first thing in the mourning to set the ecu or it will try to cough when cold. The upright riding position is perfect. You will not be disappointed. |

I have a "fast black" '08 XBXT. Traded a '03 Road King Classic on it. XT is a lot more fun to ride. Milage, 42-49. Mirror vibration is minor, not like the BSA Thunderbolt I had in the 60.s. Bob |

I have a "faster Blue" 08 XT. 44-50mpg, best was 54mpg. Mirrors are ok, but not near as bad as my 03 xb9s. At least I can use them! Very comfortable, and easy to ride fast. You won't be disappointed. |

Switch to the Aprilia Tuono mirrors, and/or HVMP bar ends and your objects in mirror will be 90% more visible. For fuel economy, the DDFI3 on all the 08+'s reduced it a bit. |

Touno Mirrors by Aprilia, make that your first mod. Next will be your lights, but you are used to that by now. 55 freeway 45 commuting 35 in the dirt |

I have a 08xt 6500+ miles. I did have a mirror come loose, just used the wrench and all good. Really like the bike, do wish i got a little better mpg, but i could also be a little easyer on the gas. |

I have an '08. The stock mirrors work well enough in terms of both field of view and stability. They're fuzzier than those on my Kawasaki, but then again the Uly's motor is quite a bit more "spirited" at all revs. I'm hoping Santa will leave a set of Aprilia mirrors in my stocking, as I've heard they are superior to the stockers in looks and performance. If your XB12R mirrors are worse than the ones on the 1125R, you deserve pity from all. Really, the 1125R doesn't even have mirrors, just fancy turn signals with shiny backsides. They are absolutely worthless for seeing anything but blurry views of your own biceps. Of course, if you're the fastest vehicle on the road, you don't have to worry about anything coming up behind you (except LEOs, unfortunately). |
