so as i went through my my pic folder and sd cards this morning i had a lot of fun looking at the changes my '06 cityX has gone through in the last 3 years, and figured i'd share just an overview. playing and tinkering with different looks on my bike during the winter has kept me sane, and each spring seems to bring something new. whats next who knows? summer '06 stock cityX
summer '07
summer '08
and today
any shots of your changing rides...lets see em |

Fresh from the dealer. Yikes! Shaved a few items the first month. Syncs Powdercoated some parts Drummer! A couple weeks ago I had the brake powdercoated. I tried to use a paint pen to highlight the Buell ZTL logo but I need to redo it. I need to use paper strips to put on just a little paint at a time. Sorry for the full trash can. I'm moving. Good thread idea. |

Gshuette, great looking bike you have there. I see you painted the front of your chin fairing black. Did you just use spray paint and how is it holding up to road debris?? |

Thanks, yeah it is just krylon semi-flat. It looks pretty good and it is easy to touch up. I just don't like the magnesium color. I'm looking for black primary and cam covers in the classifieds. The spoiler looked really cheesy with rock chips, scratches, and road grime all over it. The semi-flat hides it alot better. |

thanks bombardier, as you can see, now that bike is just made for the shows, not so rideable anymore. and is still not finished yet, i miss the front brake radial master cylinder, the clutch ( all from ISR, a sweden racing products brand), new buttons and a new beautiful oil filter. everything is apart and out for chroming, will be put on the bike probably next month and then she will be ready for the rat's hole in Daytona next year! she will debut though next sunday in her first show here in south Florida, a pretty big one too, the Toy Run, where i will put also my S1. let's see what happens... If I could find a scary clown gif that would be cool. You have my email..... send me a pic. My bike's tail section is off right now. Doing some more custom paint work on the tail piece and the complete undertail. Also maybe some art work on the rear wheel. |
