Glad you're okay! Which brings me to wonder, what do you do when something like that happens? CAll the police and get an accident report, or pick the bike up and ride off, or what? |

I picked up the bike and walked it home. I was the only one involved so, as far as I know, there was no need for a police report. |

If you are in a single vehicle get-off and do not intend to do an insurance claim, just pick it up and ride away. IF you are going to be calling the insurance company, I have heard that they CAN delay covering you if there was no police report (they end up having to do their own investigation) Let's face it, the INSURANCE companies enforce the laws much more than the Courts. |

Why bother with the insurance company if the damage is minor and didn't involve anyone else? They won't do much beyond raising your rate. Just fix it and make believe it never happened. |

I have never filed a claim with my insurance company. I just suck it up and dig in to my wallet. I never called the fuzz either. So can we all agree that tires don't ever warm up if it's cold outside ? Three cheers for winter wide chicken strips. Hip-hip... |

Let me qualify that... they don't warm up ENOUGH for the eight tenths riding most of us enjoy with these bikes. I can already see my rear tire squaring off from all the "vertical" riding... It actually got up to 60 here this past Sunday... but there was so damned much sand on the road I STILL couldn't cut loose the way I'd like. |

20 degrees when I got up and just a little ice in the drive. Put a real skinny chicken stripe on it today. Just rode around for a while. I second the insurance will only raise your rates thought. At 164 a year I ain't tellin' |

Glad you're OK. I hate to be a woman, but when I posted that I went down about 10 posts back, no one had anything to say! |

You want someone to kiss it and make it better??? Getting back to the original thread... I think if you run one or two psi LOWER than recommended you can get the tires to heat up faster. I wouldn't do this for LONG rides, but it'll help for the kind of short, lower speed rides I normally do in the winter... |
