I low-sided at Sears Point coming out of turn 9. The bike slid on one side then flipped over and did some real damage. Bent sub frame was the biggest issue. Thank god for the 'frame puck'! It took about the full blow and just a very little dent in the frame. The clip-on was bent to hell, Rt. foot peg gone, nipple on shifter was taken off. Bolts to shift linkage ground down. Then the plastic's were scraped up some. Not to bad of a replacement list. I'm in the middle of tearing her down. She's going to the 'Frame Man' in Sacramento. A complete tear down is needed to make sure she it straight. From what I've been told, she might come back straiter then 'factory'? It's been fun really getting to know my Buell. The only thing that sucks is lowering the motor to get to 'two' little nut's? Oh well, let the fun continue. |

FYI: The axle and/or swingarm bolt often bend. My axle was bent so slightly it rolled perfectly, but when I replaced it my belt tension changed and my belt issues went away. And yes, I replaced the damn swingarm bolt first, and it didn't make a difference in my case. Just be aware and make sure belt tension is the same as before your crash. |

Aaron, This is Jo. We rode once on a Jabob ride a while ago. Bummer about the low-side. I hope that you are alright. As far as the repair stuff, I'm clueless. I'm down here in Turlock if I can help you at all. Later, jo |

hey jo, I got her torn down to where I need her. I'll be taken her on Tuesday up to Sac. When I get her back we should hook up for a Ride. Meet in Coulterville and do the Mini D, and the Raymond area. I'm sure you know it better then I do. When I crashed I only banged my knee and put my hand down when I thought I was finished tumbling. The problem was, I was still tumbling. So my wrist also hurt. But I limped away and didn't collect any medical bills. That's what I call a good 'Crash'!!! |
