No hint at all. It's fact. It's a service I provide. I know most folks here are honest and don't steal. Some websites and people parade these pirated products without any hint that they are illegal copies. Values and honesty require reciprocity and frankly I'm always impressed with the Buell community. No one has scanned and shared more pages of manuals than I have to get folks out of jams and for "personal consumption". I don't see that as violating the intent of the IP laws. I do see someone buying something Buell invested a lot of time and money to make, copying it and then selling the copies to divert revenue from Buell to them as little different than coming in your house and taking the television. It's no more than a matter of simple honesty. I know you are honest and would want to know. | ||

What I've done on other boards is put out the name of the pdf and let the people search for a copy online. The '05 is a good copy (not a scan) and free. Problem is that it probably is Buell's and not for public distribution. The other problem is that sometimes it is on a site with graphic links to a porn site. When I check, before giving it out, and find that, the file name doesn't go out. That would get me kicked off of here so quick. | ||

Ebay also will not allow sellers to violate copyright laws, sell weapons, medicines, certain drug paraphernalia. People always complain but the law is the law. I could use a really great hit from the occasional doobie - just to knock the rough edges off every now and then.... - but I sure as hell don't expect BADWEB to help me line up an ounce even though it's for my PERSONAL USE ONLY. | ||

If you need help in a bind, we'll hook ya up...but then go buy the manual! When I was doing install work for Best Buy, we had a shop rule about tools (we all owned our own tools): you can borrow it once, but if you need the same tool twice- go buy your own! |
