well, i rode the xb9s to my mom and dad's for thanksgiving dinner yesterday, and the rear drive-side wheel bearing took a crap on the way home. i nursed it home slowly. anyway, i am in asheville, nc, and am going to raleigh monday (down I-40 to RDU). i have been to the dealer in gastonia, and the one in hickory, but i am wondering if anyone knows a good one around raleigh, that might have the bearing in stock, and maybe even install it in the wheel. i have the wheel off. and another question! this is a 2003 with 10,000 miles. should i go ahead and replace the belt while i have it apart? the belt looks great (but the bearing did too, yesterday morning!) the bearings had the black seal. any input on what bearings to use? i know some folks are having problems with the newest ones. any help or advice is appreciated! ed |
