So, I'm going to be removing the duckbill front fender from my Stt and putting a regular S front fender. The headlight assy has a screw coming up through the duckbill in the to the bottom of the headlight housing to secure it from up/down rotation. When the duckbill is gone, of course, this mount will be gone. Do regular S or Ss models have some other bracketry down there to secure the headlight assy? My guess is "yes" but before I go asking the dealer for a part that might or might not exist, I wanted some sort of confirmation. Thanks Hemicbx York, PA |

Yes. I can take a picture tomorrow and get some dimensions if you'd like to make your own. |

Yes, its a L shaped piece of metal, you can make it, or you can just get it from the dealer. 2 holes in it, 1 round hole that a screw goes in to attach to the brace between the forks, and one long slot that goes under the headlight so you can adjust it. |

I don't think you CAN buy it, I tried and the one from the dealer will not work. BUT PM me and I can send you one as I made mine own that dose work. Working in a shop as the CAD/CAM programmer and laser operator is good for something after all! All you need is a couple of 1/4" button head cap screws and washers. |

Hi Hemicbx. You need the bracket for the Ss not the S Part number L0946.1AN. You also need to replace one of the screws with an AA0404.11CZB. Peter |

Did the conversion some time ago (and thanks, Birdy). The fender bolts right up. As to the headlight steady, the Ss bracket is the one you need, and that is a bolt-on. Screws available at you favorite hardware store. And the bracket is in the $10 range, I believe..... |

L0946.1AN BKT, HDLIGHT SUPPORT, LOWER Retail Price:$5.85 M0619.1AD MOUNT, HDLIGHT, LOWER Retail Price:$3.50 What sucks is that there is no pics! I don't have a parts book for a SS to confirm which is accurate. But buy both for $9 and you are gonna get one that works. Edit: I would place my money on L0946.1AN, as a lot of SS parts are .1AN (Message edited by froggy on November 24, 2008) |

The dealers here started converting the STTs to the low guards in the show room, but the kits they were getting had the M0619.1AD which is for the short wheel base models. They were bending them to fit. The L0946.1AN is the equivalent bracket for the Ss which has the same frame as the STT. This one fits straight on. The parts book shows M0619.1AD for KX/SX/WX (City-X/S/Scg), and the L0946.1AN for JX (Ss). The L0946.1AN works, but you need the shorter screw to go with it. |

That's fantastic. Thanks for all the help guys. I really need a parts book. One of the nearby dealers has a 25% off sale for black friday. I have a list ready! For my conversion I got a perfect seat from one Badwebber and some new cherry bomb bodywork from another. One other nice thing that has come about this year is that all the pictures appear that the '09 rear peg supports are black. The Stt rear subframe is black, but all the prior supports seem to be silver or graphite. Wouldn't by any chance be anyone out there w/ an '09 Ss parts book w/ those numbers would there? Thanks, Hemicbx |
