Has anyone mounted a Wave Rotor on their Buell?
If so will you comment on:How you like it,what
kind of pads your running,Braking USA's claims
that it resists warpage,where you got it,and what
did you pay?
I'm real tired of warping stock rotors.
Any input will be apreciated.

Wycked, Buellish rides an S2. A purple one. Hehe...

Dunno if they make one of those fancy wave rotors for the XB...I doubt it.

In the second to last B2Win magazine(winter '02) Reg Kittrelle put a Braking StremX "Wave" on his S1 track bike.(so i don't know if this would pertain to street use with rain,pad warm up time,etc.)Regarding this front disc he wrote"...my brake pad of choice is the Ferodo CP911.I use these because they're a carbon compound,rather than sintered metalic.They give me the stopping power i need without chewing up the disc."

The Wave weighed 11 ounces less than the stock(i think 1996?) S1,s.

He didn't talk about longevity of the pads or disc though.If you want to try a post at Sacborg he seems to check in there now and then.BTW,the Braking website still doesn't show the dics are available.

Mike; Call Earl Smalls and talk to Scott in service. He runs one on his S3 and likes it.

Got me a job finally. It ain't here. TWO will now be reserved for some future long vacation. Damnit! I was just learning that loop you race on, er, I mean drive. (low supersonic pass would be a better description.)

Bates City, MO. We're moving back to Kansas City. Anyone need a house in South Atlanta? 12 minute access to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Community swimming pool, tennis, the works. Basement big enough for 32 Buell service bays.

We have sent Braking in Italy a standard XB rear disc, and expect to have a Wave type released very shortly. Don't hold your breath for a front one though :)

As far as pad material goes, you should always use sintered or carbon compound pads on the wave discs, as they will eat standard pads in record time. Sintered are good enough for street use, although for track days you might want to try the CC variety.
