I've read through the archives about the best stands to use on our bikes. Majority of BadWebers are using T-Rex or Pitbull. Here's my question...with T-Rex I can get both front and rear for about $125 as a set. Pitbull stands are $295 a set. Obviously I'd like to go with the T-Rex stands, but will the front stand securely hold the front end up for fork service, etc.? |

As in most things in life, one gets what one pays for. If I were working on bikes everyday, I would by the the Pitbulls. I don't and I didn't. I have the T Rex front a cheaper rear. They do the job when I need them which is infrequently. Big upgrade from what I used to use.

Does T-Rex make a stem-lifter type? Or does it only lift from the fork ends? (that last one will give you problems) |

That's classic Jon. Slaughter...It lifts from the stem, but I can't get them to return my email asking if the front stand stem will fit. |

How many times in a week is there going to be a stands post? TBH I am not even going to post my famous pic of my bikes front on a few logs. |

If I recall, T Rex ships with a number of interchangeable stem fittings. You need the 5/8",(16mm), one. It fits a bit loosely in the stem, but that's ok. |

How many times in a week is there going to be a stands post? As many as I need to get my questions answered I guess...All I needed was the answer Jon gave me. Thanks Jon... Maybe I'll start a few more repetitive threads just to shake things up... |

I think if your wrap some teflon tape around the stem it will fit better. |

Woodcraft sells some nice stands. http://www.woodcraft-cfm.com/Scripts/prodList.asp? idCategory=12767 Their pin fit snug, only thing I don't like is that I have to remove my front fender to give the stand enough angle to get in there.
