I don't post here often, though I have a bought a few things from a few members, and I troll a little. Wanted to let everyone know that my 04 XB12R was stolen Friday October 24th. It's black with a lot of carbon fiber, front fairing, air box cover, upper and lower belt guards, rear hugger, rear heal plates. Black rims and windsheild. Thank you. |

That sucks the big one. If I had to guess, it is just old enough that you didn't have comprehensive coverage on your insurance. I hope you did though. Sorry to hear it. |

I left the house friday night at 6 pm to go out with my girlfriend. Came home Saturday at 2 pm and it was gone. Forks where locked, but that is it. Rotor lock/alarm was on order. Yes, I had liability only on it. Been watching the bay etc. Here's the best pic I have. Added Carbon fiber front fairing and airbox cover since.

I'm a firefighter in my town. Yea, like you all didn't guess that. So anyway, I knew the cop taking the report. He asked me if I had a suspect in mine. I looked at him and said "if I had a suspect I'd be in Mayes county and you'd be doing a homicide report instead of grand theft auto" |

I hate to say it, but even a buell will get stolen if you leave it outside for that amount of time. I'd park it in my house if I didn't have a secure workshop. At work I park it out back where very few people can see it. I have an onguard rottweiler 25mm cable lock on order myself. It should be here by Monday and i'll feel a lot better once it's locked to something. Check out how long it takes to steel a sport bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D96QM-lzLM8 I'm thinking of ordering one of the big ass chains for when it's at home. The door to my shop isn't that secure. |

I own a trailer house. Needless to say, getting the bike up the stairs would be difficult. I actually have a storage building I got from Lowes to put the bike in. 10x14, it however, didn't come complete. Lowes did finally get me the second box, but, I'm in the National Guard, and I got called up to go to Ft. Bliss Texas for a month. I got back a couple days before the bike was stolen, and hadn't had time to put up the building. I had a disk brake rotor lock with a built in alarm on order from Cycle Gear. It just hadn't came in yet. |

My house is up off the ground as well, but i'd build a ramp before I'd leave it sit outside. The disk lock is useless against 2 guys with a minivan! I hope you get it back. I know i'd be sick if someone stole my bike, because I have liability as well. |

You didn't read that right Moose, the disk lock has a built in alarm, you move the bike and the Alarm goes off. Yea, I read the post about a Buell fighting in a Caravan. |
