Installed a Special O.P.S. exhaust and K&N filter on my 08 XB12S. No signs of running lean, low RPM stumble is gone, it revs through the gears much quicker at all RPM'S with a noticeable increase in the upper mid range and the sound is terrific, a sharp throaty bark.  | ||

Dip, I got the Special Ops on the 07 XB12R. Not runnen lean, ECM had no probs learning and powerband is from idle all the way to redline, sounds great, I love it!  | ||

Oh man, I just installed my special ops pipe a couple weeks back and ......well, it is AWESOME!!!!!! I have an 03 XB9S and LOVE the sound. its not too loud, but louder then my race pipe was, so people hear it a little better. plus the tone it has is amazing! I LOVE the cruising sound at 2500 RPMs. But of course WOT is nice too :-) | ||

My bike would always throw codes with the stupid servo hooked up. I'm glad the drummer doesn't use the servo. No CELs for me anymore! Plus the drummer is a more polished and finished design. | ||

I put a Spec Ops on my 08 back in March... Sounds great, runs ok. There are still some ecm issues that were there with the stock pipe that need to be massaged out. | ||

I would like to hear a drummer side by side with the Spec ops pipe. But I LOVE my Special Ops!! I do have a 9, so no stupid cable for me :-) (Message edited by rah7777777 on September 30, 2008) | ||

Didn't mean to be judgmental. I just love the Drummer SS. I don't have an emulator but it is on never ending list of things to buy for the bike. | ||

My Spec Ops pipe will be delivered today. I can't wait to get it on my bike. I've put 4k miles on my 08 XB12Scg with the stock pipe on and can't wait to get rid of that thing. | ||

Gschuette: Nothing judgmental there! I bet if I bought a drummer and never heard a spec ops pipe in person I would have said.. I LOVE my drummer, haha! Drummer and Special Ops are the ONLY 2 pipes I would have bought for my bike. Not a fan of those big companies. I'm all for the little guy!!! Both KD and Odie work pretty damn hard with these things and for that I thank them both!!!! -Robert | ||

Just a followup note about Special O.P.S. I sent Odie my stock exhaust with a large dent in it. (I hit a fist sized rock at speed!) With Hurricane Ike approaching my area he worked overtime and got it back to me fast, before I even paid him for it. It came back beautiful and with no sign of any dent. I called him to get payment info. and he said don't worry about it, just get the trees cut off of your house and send me a check later after the cleanup. I sent him a check that day. This is customer service of the finest degree, this man has my business for life. Thanks again Odie!  |
