I would look at this as a lose/win scenario. Yes his bike is dead and won't run. His loss. His bike is not functioning, and so he is much less likely to do dumb things to get himself killed. His win. | ||

Mohawk said in another forum that he got a used ECM already for $150, this guy said he's in for $1000...load of crap, and as said before..trolls. Good laughs tho. | ||

My reply: CentralCoaster, We, the global riding community, would like to thank you for the hours of humor and frivolity you have supplied us. The coincidence of having one person with holes drilled through his ECM and having an individual who might have drilled through said ECM is too much of a coincidence to ignore. Although we appreciate the public spectacle you have provided us, for the sake of those "customers" you serve, please limit your motorcycle alterations to stickers, zip ties, adding sweat bands to fluid reservoirs, lighted tire stems, and spray paint. Anything more could result in death, dismemberment, or financial loss to the general riding community. For the love of all that is holy, please PLEASE never touch another power tool, wiring harness, wrench, pliers, wire stripper, socket set, allen wrench, or torx set. These tools require more skill to utilize than you currently possess. If anything, utilizing an 18" masonry bit for a license plate mod is probably not the right tool for the job. Stopping when the tip of the drill emerges from the top of the seat is probably prudent. Just a little friendly advice from your bemirthed peers in the riding community. Just keep in mind that not ALL mods are good mods.  Those mods that result in holes in ECM's would classify as bad mods. | ||
