Rode to Homecoming '99 and hit 8+" of standing water under an overpass in Milwaukee. I did see it coming and went slow tho.

Been in hail (incl on top of Mt Evans during Thunder in the Mountains '01 where it hailed below us), sleet, snow, near tornados, the edges of hurricanes (hard to do from St Louis tho ; )), Sturgis @ 104+ degrees. Rode 2-up to the Int'l Motorcycle show in St Louis at 26degres and got some nice sleet on the way home...

Was a sunny 67 this morning tho!

When I lived in Western NY there was an early snowstorm in late October. I was at work doing construction on the top of a big steep hill. There was a stiff 40mph crosswind and the snow instantly turned to slush. A few cars had been blown onto the ditch...one I actually witnessed myself. I didn't want to get stranded so I decided I'd ride to the shop and pick up the work truck before it got worse. I rode the bike down about 1/4 mile crossed up sideways with my foot down just to stay on the road. At the bottom of the hill I almost didn't slow in time and intermittently locked both brakes trying to avoid getting splattered at the intersection. Trying to stay in the wheel tracks, there was enough fresh snow coming down that I was still squirming quite a bit and getting some goofy looks from drivers. The front cylinder got completely packed with snow and the bike died about 1/2 mile from the shop and wouldn't re-start. The restaurant I coasted to was waitressed by a friend and she told me it'd be ok to leave there and parked it in view. I ended up walking to the shop and picking the bike up after work...most of the snow had melted by then and I went through all that s**t for nothing!

last week, i had a doctors apointment in asheville and wanted to take my new bike from florida...
so i said the hell with fay and rode to the doctors office, with rain coming down sideways.. it was actually enjoyable, with my rainsuit on... i stayed for about an hour and saw the weather was going to suck for the next couple of days... so much for riding the parkway...
so i got back on my bike, stopped in franklin for dinner and hit the road southbound....the rain slacked off about mid georgia...
i was back home by 2am for a distance of over 1000 miles in 19 hours...not bad for a geezer!
