My cheesegrater is going, one way or the other. But - I don't like the idea of chucking gravel all over the place - particularly over bikes following me. Anyone with the ability to make carbon fibre parts think a hugger might be possible - replacing that dinky little guard currently sitting at my back wheel??? I had a great hugger on my 748 - snug enough not to detract from the wheel's good looks... |

I dumped the cheese grater but have not had issues with debris yet.

I hacked the grater too, only had one experience with debris. Was crusing and ran into a new Chip and Seal process. Threw crap all over my self and the bike. took me over an hour of cleaning to get all of the tar and rocks off of my bike. My suggestion, dump the grater and stay off of loose gravel. |

All'yall... I'm telling you guys, removing the "cheese grater"/"urinal" from the XB9S will liken you to those fellas back in the day that removed the "split" from the 1963 "split window" Corvette.... They even had aftermarket removal kits to make them look like 64's.... Mind you, this is all said tounge-in-cheek.... Maybe.... kk//kef edited by freyke on October 21, 2003 |

People actually REMOVED the split on the vettes??? Why? They couldn't stand it in the mirror? They should try driving my Mach 1. |

Gonen 60 - Just to fuel the fire here - weren't you the guy doing power slides in the intersections??? By the look of your tire, you're not getting here over nearly enough!!! All shiney and new on the edges - that's where mine ran out first on my XB9R! |

that picture was taken right after my conversion to the new XBR clip on bars and front fairing. It took me a few day to get used to the new riding position. I now have a lot more command of the bike, and can get it over to a nice angle. I think even further than my GSX-R 600.
