Does anyone think that using the 1125 air scoops on an xb12s would be functional or just plain fugly? |

I own an '08 XB12R because I went to see the new 1125R at the dealership, and almost threw up. Luckily, there was an XB there needing a home. The 1125R is the ugliest motorcycle ever produced (well, now there's the CR trying to take over the title). Remember the photo shop pics of what people thought the 1125R might look like a few years ago? An XB with a Rotax engine looked so promising... and look what we got. Oh, here comes lunch. It is blasphemy to even ask such a question about defacing the looks of the XB... Eric got it right on this model. The 1125R design team had great engineers, but they totally forgot to hire a designer. Oh, wait... your just joking, right? Silly me, I actually thought you were serious... 1125R scoops on an XB- that's a good one! |

I understand that if you affix them to your Firebolt with teflon tape, you'll be able to pull 200mph easily! |

My vote is for the fugly. Everytime I see an 1125R I think, there had to be a better way to do it....its like they don't follow the body lines of the bike, but they tried too...I just don't get it |

I think the scoops on the 1124r look cool, but the rest of the bike, not so much. I guess I just prefer the short, fat look of the xbs. It's ironic that short, fat women don't do anything for me. |

Does anyone think that using the 1125 air scoops on an xb12s would be functional or just plain fugly? I'm not sure you should try this as you may overcool your fuel rail........and you really don't want to do that.......right? |

Use one pod as a scoop for air to cool the rear cylinder. The other could handle an intercooler for a turbo. Or one hell of an oil cooler scoop. Then they both serve a function. (Message edited by Oddball on August 08, 2008) |
