If you Buellers get a chance, you should check out Motorcycle.com Funky Twins Shootout between the XB12R, BMW R1100S and Ducati Multistrada. |

The paltry $12 subscription to MO is well worth it. Don't be such a damn cheapskate. |

The subscription is WELL worth it. There are several Buell articles on the XB12 and XB9's. -Dennis |

Yes, The one year subscription is well worth it. You can read about all other bikes, specs, etc etc. & new products. Anyways they rated the XB12R the best overall. |

"Buell XB-12R gets top honors" "pulls like a freight train right off the bottom and keeps on punching all the way through the powerband" "You could practically leave the bike in third gear and run Horse Thief (the track) all day" "allows you to come into a corner a gear high and just torque your way through" "low-end grunt was a huge advantage" "easiest to move around on and the most comfortable to hang off of in corners" "ample ground clearance with the XB helps build confidence when leaned over" "feels planted and solid" "This Buell is a looker! Mean and nasty." "fastest and most fun bike with the fewest compromises" "fastest, because it had the lightest weight, coupled with the best ground clearance and the most mid range thrust" "felt solid and planted, giving more confidence everywhere" "higher entry and exit speeds" "Buell was easily the fastest bike" "most usable power" "plenty of low end torque" "fun bike with a few kinks to work out" "The other writers liked it too much to let it go!" I could go on with these quotes but you should be getting the point by now. Sorta blows a hole in Sport Rider's claims of a narrow power band and picky handling, doesn't it? Mike L. Dyna, Not nearly as much as other brands spend there, and more is spent on major magazine ads, etc., just like other brands. Just smell the freakin' roses, and ride your Dyna. |

Seen Buell afvertising pretty heavily lately in all the mags including Playboy. Quite a bit of that commericial on tv also. I didnt say it wasnt a good bike & didnt deserve to win the shootout. Just asking if they advertised on the site. Just smell the freakin' roses, and ride your Dyna. At times I would prefer to be on my Buell...remember that i put my money where my mouth is & stepped up to the plate & supported buell & bought one. Unfortunately tho I must have gotten a friday at 3:30 bike. But I guess those of us who shelled out the $$$ for bikes dont have an opinion that matters on anything. |

Didn't say much I didn't already know about Buell. It is nice to see other people are waking up and seeing the Buells as excellent bikes. Horse Thief Mile! There's a track I'd like to spend some time on! I love 3rd gear twisties! |
