Yeah baby, I'll be watching for the dyno results. BTW, it'll be a bigger weight reduction than that, between the valve and mechanisms going bye bye, and the tubing dump. Anyway, looking forward to the results.

I thought Dave said his Dyno was off a hair on the HP readings a hair also.I thought I read that somewhere anyways. |

It wont matter if his dyno reads lower than others. So long as the stock pipe & the drummer are run on the same dyno the results will speak for themselves. |

Yes, our dyno has never been one the "HAPPY" dynos but we have a stock run on this same bike and will have runs on it with the Drummer pipe shortly, it's being done right now. I gotta go! Ride to the edge! Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |

Well the results are in. We didn't gain anything at the top end of the RPM range but gained everywhere between 2500-6300! Gain of about 8 ft lbs between 3500-4000 where stock it dips and with the Drummer it doesn't. The HP line is higher than stock from 2500-6300 RPM also, by about 2-4 HP all the way For those of you dyno junkies that are just looking at peak numbers, this pipe might not be for you. For the rest of you(me included) that ride on planet earth, this is a great "Real World" exhaust! Good job Bubba and Kevin. I'm off to ride it and give it the "Dave" test! I'll be back soon with my impressions. Ride to the edge! Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |

All right race fans hold onto your boot straps.... the charts will get posted later but dave said there was some weird electrical glitch and the chart dissapears in 2 spots but here is what I see that he faxed to me...... across the board believe it or not the drummer torque curve is smoother than the stock. The staock has a few lil dips which is obviously where the valve transitions. we don't don't have to follow govt guide lines so we don't have no stickin valves to deal with. the gains are not huge but thats what I figured because the stock pipe works so well. heres the play by play: torque 2.5k rpm: +4 3k rpm: +6 3.5k rpm: +4 4.ok rpm: +6to7 4.5k rpm: +3 5.ok rpm: +4 5.5k rpm: +4 6.0k to 6.8k dead even now this as you can read is smooth the torque line is actually a steady climb from 2.5k all the way to 6.2k starting at 68 ft/lbs and climbing to 75 ft/lbs thats only a 7 ft/lb increase across the board, without the transition dips. HP it is all the way a steady 4 hp better than stock all the way to 6.2k rpm where it is dead even again. the peak numbers are this stock 88.3hp torque 72.7 drummer is 88 hp torque is 75. now if ya seen the d&d we already know about the big dip... and remember the race kit loses from 2.5k to 4k and then surges up from 4 to 5k and is only flat from 5 to 6k. absolutley not smooth. we made it smoother and more powerful for a very affordable price. Thanks to dave and the Iowa farm mafia , and ralph for the use of his bike and now the proud owner of the drummer on a 12. don't worrie about the peak numbers everybodys dyno reads different. look at the gains and the smoothness. I am giddy all over again. Kevin Drum is an alright guy in my book. Brian Tilleyhd/buell buckinfubba@hotmail.com |

Well I'm back! Nice, real nice! Now understand this is NOT my bike so I took it pretty easy. I could never look Ralph in the eye if I messed up his new pride and joy. The power is smooooth, comes on early and while not ear splitting loud like the Force pipe it is louder than the Buell race can. A little quieter than the D+D. I did get the crap scared out of me on the ride though. I'm going along and have ridden about 4 miles so the bike is nice and warmed up. I turn onto the Greyhound park road and I've got a clear road with no cars in sight. So, of course, it's time to open it up a little. I run it up to about 6000 rpm thru the gears and am doing about 110-115 and I look into the parking lot of the closed dog park and there must be some kind of cop training going on! 6 Highway patrol cars sitting there! Yikes! Took it pretty easy the rest of the way back to the shop. Ride to the edge! Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |
