I started up my 08 XB12Scg tonight, getting ready to head into work and smelled something burning. Not thinking it was my bike since it only has 3200 miles on it, I continued installing my tank bag. Then I noticed smoke. I looked down and noticed some fluid around the chin fairing and on the outside of the oil filter. So I shut her off and drove to work. Boring!!! I didn't have time to take a closer look at where the oil was coming from, since I was running a little late. Any ideas what the problem could be? I'll take a look this morning after work but since its under warranty I will probably just call the dealer and have them pick it up. This sucks. |

Check the lines on your oil cooler. Also check to see if your oil filter is tight. Silly stuff is usually all it is. |

Thanks. I'll check them when I get home this morning. I rode home Thursday morning and all was well. |
