I purchased a 05 firebolt with 3,300 on it yesterday. I have been riding around on a blast for about one year now and decided that it's time to upgrade. Hope you guys like it

Black's the fastest (and sexiest) color scheme the 'bolt ever came in. |

Maybe it's just me, but is he going to have to change his screen name or the color of the Buell? BTW, nice ride |

Nice clean, pretty bike. My suggestion, and I've posted this recently before,... get the metal stamped clutch cable bracket. The wireform ones tend to fatigue and break and the clutch cable melts into the front header. Ask me how I know, go ahead, ask me |

Oh wow, I thought the wire style one from the older bikes was the better style. I will deffinately have to keep an eye on mine now. And I have to ask, how do you know? Nice sliders ya got there! I still need to get some front and rear axle sliders for mine, along with bar-end sliders. |

Get some 3M clear guard put over Erik's signature. You don't want that coming off! |

Maybe the older wire style ones are better, I have an '08, and it broke I can't be sure, you may be right on that. But I was two weeks into ownership and starting my bike to show it to a friend when the smell of burning rubber came wafting from the front of the bike as well as a nice bluish smoke from the same area. Luckily I shut it down quickly and only the outer sleeve of the cable was damaged. It was a warranty item and was replaced by my local dealer without question. I'm not sure if it would be a warranty item for you, but I would recommend getting it changed or at least tying down the cable with metal tie or something. Plenty of threads about it on here. By the way if you DO get the metal stamped bracket, you do not need to unhook your clutch cable to get it on. I just bent mine a little to slide it over the cable and then bent it back into shape and bolted it up. Much easier and quicker than unhooking the cable itself. |

+1 what Thepod said, I had exactly the same thing happen to my 07, I even bent the metal instead of taking off the cable too. I was watching that bike on Ebay, Nice get White! |
