Appears to need a bit of cutting and re-welding brackets before it would mount up!!! Looks like a real PITA to me.... |

isn't that what owning a buell is all about different? Im willing to cut some brackets and welding. It shouldn't be that hard. |

If ya wanna "be different" just cut and weld the stock muffler, shouldn't be that hard, as there are quite a few folks doing that!! And DEFINITELY DO NOT let that joker do ANY welding (if you can call it that !!) on anything you own |

I will attest to the fact that it will sound awesome but it does take some decent fab skills to build the down tube. I bought one of these off the edelbrock site before they sold out for $25. Im sure thats what this guy did also. I did several different versions of the stock/gutted pipe. I got a few to sound nice but not the sound or performance you will get from the latus. The latus is deep sounding. |

I bisected an XB muffler and installed an 18" Cheery Bomb muffler inside. Sound pretty good and my butt dyno can detect no drop in power, an increase in power is debatable. Here's a crude drawing of what I did. On either side of the rear bulk head is an expansion chamber, also the inlet pipe and outlet pipes are not directly connected, but are in the original positions.

No i want to keep the stock muffler for maybe some day down the road i might want to go back stock. Im pretty sure i won't hire Xl_cheese's welder for i could do a better job myself. Im looking forward to getting this done. |
