As you can see I had the idler pulley, rear sprocket, and heel guards powdercoated to match the orange. I didn't get the company name but the powdercoater ordered a color called traffic red which is a very very very very close match. The textured finish on the sprocket bring out the orange so that isn't 100% matched but the heel guards and idler pulley appear to be a perfect match. I haven't put many miles on the Rossos so far but they have much more grip than the syns did when leaned over. They give me much more confidence. I am going to a nice canyon tomorrow so I can let you know better how they handle but so far so good. |

NICE! only complaint I have is that stock muffler! Send that to Odie and have it shortened up (and sound better too :-) But really a bad ass looking bike! I think you did a fantastic job! All the little details kick in to make a really really nice look! you get an A+++++ in my book! keep it safe! -Robert www.xblights.com |

I ordered a Drummer SS in February. Just playing the waiting game now. Glitch I love the Rossos! I do not know how you guys get rid of the strips on the street though. They do have much more grip when leaned over than the stock 208s or the Syncs I used to have. I know it isn't just in my mind. I can almost hear the contact patch being ripped from the ground when I accelerate. I doubt they are going to be a very long lasting tire though. That is fine though. I would prefer better handling to mileage. (Message edited by gschuette on July 26, 2008) |

I just went and grabbed that shot because I totally forgot to mention that I painted the piece behind the flyscreen to match the frame. I love the sunset orange! I wish Buell would bring out more eye catching colors like that one instead of all the translucent stuff. Robert I have an idea for a headlight blinker combo for my bike. Can you do headlights or is XB Lights concentrating on taillights? I will have to get a clear concise description and e-mail it to you. |

Ben I believe I stole the idea from you. Thanks for the inspiration. I love the blue. Your welcome. I have a feeling more people will start doing this, esp on the 09's to break up some of the black on them. |

Howdy again! XB Lights only does tail light stuff. I looked into LED headlights, but the technology is so new for the front, it would be years before I could ever get anything worth while. Sorry! And guys, i can promise you HAVE started a trend! Once I figure out what color im going with (probably badlions bad ass blue!) I will be doing the same to my 03! Keep it safe guys and thanks for showing us the pics!!! -Robert www.xblights.com P.S. can't wait to see it with the Drummer SS installed! that will look sweet!!!! Very interesting. I've never personally liked the Sunset Orange but sumanabitch if that isn't gorgeous! Excellent job, I really like it. Suddenly Sunset Orange looks really, really good I wanna hear more about those Rosso tires as I'm considering trying them myself next tire change. |

Metalstorm, I've got around 2500 miles on mine or so, really like them. I had syncs on the bike, and these rossos seem to stick better, much more confidence inspiring. Haven't heard or read a bad word about them anywhere. |

Thanks, I've been running Syncs the last three changes and they work so well for me that I hadn't really thought of another tire until I saw the Rosso. I do believe they will be next. If they are equal or better than the Syncs in the dry and as well in the wet as the Syncs I'll be in moto heaven |

I'm really enjoying this trend here on BadWeB.. Someone will take a so-so looking bike and make a couple subtle changes to it that totally transforms the former so-so bike into something brilliant. I'm starting to think Buell does this on purpose just so all you clever folk can create art. Very fassst art but art none the less |

However, for anyone thinking about doing this maybe, I recommend finding 1200 degree or better paint as eventually the 500 degree started to suffer from the heat, but still didn't look too bad considering. |

Thanks for the compliments. I think the huge belt guards, rear hugger, and mickey mouse mirrors are what make the Ss bikes appear kind of ugly. I always knew there was a gorgeous Buell hiding under there. I just had to go get it. Metal, the Rossos have way more grip when leaned over than the Syncs. I got caught in the rain yesterday and I didn't crash but I can't say much more than that about rain performance. I have almost had the bike a year and that was the first time she was in the rain. Gotta thank Utah for being dry most of the time. When it isn't it's about 10 below so I have no real aspiration to ride much in the wet stuff here. 45, that painted muffler is an interesting idea. I never saw your original thread. Looks pretty good and is very unique. My bike got so dirty yesterday it could be mistaken for slickers bike. I'm gonna go wash it and take a picture in good light. Haven't had any lately. Next I want to get a Select seat and do the ZTL2 brake conversion with the red CR caliper. I will also need the hidden rear brake from Al at American SPortbike as well. I really wish I could find a six spoke rear sprocket that matches the spoke design of the rear wheel. That would be optimum. I want the bike to appear stock at first glance then when you look at it more realize that is what the bike should be stock. That is the goal any way. The world's cleanest sunset XB.
